Dr Ana Phillis is an experienced General Practitioner who is a Dubbo local. In addition to growing up and completing her schooling here, she was also fortunate enough to spend some of her medical school training in Dubbo and then go on to complete her time as a GP registrar.
Since becoming a fellow with Royal Australian College of General Practitioners she has worked in private practice as well as with Aboriginal Health services where she has been a supervisor for GP registrars and medical students.
She believes it is important to support and encourage future and current training doctors to come and work rurally.
Dr Phillis is committed to country practice and enjoys working in General Practice for the continuity of care across all stages of life. She believes living and working in Dubbo can provide a great work life balance and a wonderful opportunity to become part of the local community.
The biggest highlight of her career so far has been working on US reality TV show Survivor. Outside of work, Ana also enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, participating and volunteering at parkrun with her dog and gardening.
