Dubbo and Region

Dubbo is a thriving regional city of 50,000 people, located on the Macquarie river, servicing the western and far western region. Traditionally it has been a major service town for the surrounding agricultural industry, however in recent years the main industries have become health and aged care. Dubbo has a regional airport with numerous direct daily flights to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and is also the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Over the last 5 years, Dubbo has seen many people move to the region, with a greater diversity of cultures and backgrounds which is now reflected in the number of cuisines on offer and a large variety of multicultural events celebrated throughout the year.
